Topic

In this morning webinar, Professor Aris Stouraitis will focus on the adverse effects of bribery and fraud on corporate governance. The presentation will provide insight as to how corporate governance, fraud controls and restructuring to drive an effective compliance program can be used to prevent and detect fraud and to identify the symptoms of bribery, corruption and collusion whether in corporate setting regardless if it is a public or private organization.

Presenter

Professor Aris Stouraitis is the Head & Professor, Department of Finance and Decision Sciences Director, Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy School of Business at Hong Kong Baptist University. He has performed rigorous academic research in corporate finance, with emphasis on corporate restructuring, corporate governance and corruption. His research has been published in the multiple leading academic journals. He has made presentations at major conferences like Harvard Business School and in more than 30+ international academic conferences worldwide. His research or commentary has been quoted in media outlets like Bloomberg, The Economist magazine, and the leading German financial daily newspaper Handelsblatt.
